I confess – spring makes me start things. I start fiber projects, home improvement projects, and gardening projects. Unfortunately, I tend to start more than I can possibly finish. Maybe spring makes me optimistic. Maybe it is the pent up energy from the winter blahs. Sometimes I end up feeling like I am spinning around in the room trying to decide what to do next and getting nothing done at all! My personal solution: make a list. Here is my fiber one.

1. Weave towels. Two of my weaving groups are having a towel exchange so I really need to get on it. This involves, for me, designing the towels – I am thinking of stripes and twills. Then I can indulge my current fascination with color.

2. Knit a shawl for a friend, a sweater for me, and some socks (in that order). These are my favorite travel tasks and we are doing some short road trips soon, so I know what knitting to pack. Despite always being sure I will run out of yarn before I return, I almost always manage to find some on our trip. (blush)

3. Update my Etsy shop listings, figure out the link to Ravelry, and get my profile out on LinkedIn. Marketing is not my favorite activity so this is a must do. (check out the sidebar – I have added a live link to the shop.)

4. Finish spinning the spring colorway so I can get started on the scrumptious alpaca/wool roving I had prepared for me from a fleece. It is destined to be a sweater and I am determined to get started.

Okay, I admit I put that last one on because every list needs to have something you can check off right away, don’t you think? Now if I can just avoid starting something else…
